Slowcooking prose
Just did some quick math on it.. Yesterday I spent 4-5 hours writing 1,700 words. Really happy with how it came out so far. If AI did this kind of recursion (see below), where after every sentence it reviewed and rewrote all of its work, it would write 100,000 words over 45 minutes and cost $11.25. (To produce a polished 1,700 words).
And then if you throw the Essay Architecture prompt logic into it (120 prompts per every recursion lol). It’s an additional $32.40 … Still… that’s $43.65 for 45 minutes of work. Relatively affordable.
FWIW, to clarify my stance. I still believe in the intrinsic reward of human writing. Simultaneously, I am interested in a “Montaigne in a vat” experiment (more of a digital art project than a commercial tool).
