Ambiguity types
On conceptual vs. syntactical ambiguity: it’s okay or a concept to have multiple interpretations (that’s adds layers of meaning), but rarely do you want your syntax to be ambiguous (not sure of what the writer means because of clumsy syntax). The best case is: “I know what you mean, but I’m temporarily unsure of the implications.”
