Things only a patient person would do:

  1. Listen to an album in full with complete attention, eyes closed, focus on instruments. (Immersion)
  2. Read an essay twice in a row. (Looping)
  3. Close your eyes and count to 32 very slowly. (Stillness)
  4. Write your thoughts by hand. (Analog)
  5. Practice scales on a guitar. (Rudiments)
  6. Turn your phone on mute. (Disconnection)
  7. Keep plants alive. (Discipline)
  8. Solve puzzles. (Ambiguity)
  9. Walk through your town with an empty mind and note your observations (Perceptiveness)
  10. Cook a whole meal, multi-step process. (Sequence)
  11. Have an intense 3-hour conversation. (Stamina)
  12. Learn a new language. (Fluency)
